The Promise: Event Branding

"The Promise" is the title of a Christmas concert put on by North Shore Community Baptist Church in 2019. I worked with the concert director to develop branding that put a local twist on the Christmas message, in this case featuring Eastern Point Lighthouse in Gloucester, MA. Our concept was to portray the traditional Christmas "star" visual (representing hope/God's promise to mankind) through a photo of a local landmark at night that would connect the message to the here-and-now for our local audience.

This was a fun opportunity for me to integrate my photography work into a branding project—after working out the concept, I went out on assignment to capture the photo we used.

Facebook event & ad

To help reach more people with a potential interest in the concert, we promoted the event on Facebook, specifically targeting the local area and friends of people who liked the church's page (meaning they'd have a friend who goes to the church already).

In addition to the promotional materials, the lighthouse and star visuals were also used for projection during the event.
